Shimano Direct Mount Rear Derailleurs

Shimano Shadow rear derailleurs can be mounted to traditional derailleur hangers and direct mount hangers. Direct Mount hangers position the mounting bolt approximately 25mm rearward. When mounting to a Direct Mount frame, remove the B2 link plate and mount the knuckle directly to the hanger with the provided 10mm bolt.

Earlier Shadow rear derailleurs are not compatible with direct mount frames. These can be identified by having a 7mm bolt that connects the derailleur to the B-link plate.
